Tvesa Malik makes the cut, Aditi Ashok misses out at Women's Scottish Open

Tvesa Malik made the most out of her opportunity and secured a berth for the weekend competition at the LPGA event.

Malik, who is regular on Ladies European Tour, shot 1-over 145 in two days to make the cut in the Women's Scottish Open, which is co-sanctioned by the LPGA.

She smashed six birdies and seven bogeys with pars on the remaining holes in two rounds to grab a place inside top-45 players heading into weekend action.

Ariya Jutanugarn claimed the halfway stage lead after carding a solid 6-under 66 at the Dumbarnie Golf Links.

The 12-time LPGA Tour winner Jutanugarn smashed seven birdies against one bogey in her second round to make a handsome lead of three strokes over her competitors.

The top-ranked Indian golfer Aditi Ashok, not seen in good touch both days and missed the cut by nine strokes at the $1,500,000 prize money event.

Aditi made an early exit from the prestigious event after making fourteen bogeys and only three birdies in two days.

Charley Hull, alongwith Emily Kristine Pederson and Attahaya Thitikul, shared second place at 6-under. A pack of six golfers were a further shot back at 5-under going into the third round.
