Tvesa Malik lies 79th, Aditi way down in Women's Scottish Open

Two of India's most prolific golfers Tvesa Malik and Aditi Ashok, not had a good start at the Women's Scottish Open.

Tvesa Malik, who plays majorly on Ladies European Tour, started her journey with 1-over to be placed at the tied-79th position.

On the other hand, Aditi Ashok, who did wonders last week at the Olympics by waking up the one sport crazy nation India at 4 a.m., carded a dreary 5-over to claim the lowest position.

Tvesa's round was a rollercoaster, with three birdies and four bogeys for a 1-over total.

Aditi made seven bogeys and just two birdies to lie way down at the leaderboard.

Both the Indians now need a solid second round in order to qualify for the weekend action.

Michele Thomson grabbed the first-round lead after carding 7-under 65 at the Dumbarnie Golf Links.

Thomson, who made an eagle on the second hole, finished her first round two shots ahead of its competitor.

World No.8 Yuka Saso, alongwith Jasmine Suwannapura and
Anne van Dam shared the second spot at 5-under 67.
