Ladies Open: Tvesa lies tied-26 after first-round, Aditi and Astha way behind

Among the three Indians participating in the Creekhouse Ladies Open, Tvesa Malik appeared as the best-placed Indian after the round one campaign.

The talented young golfer carded a decent 1-over 73 in the first round to claim a tied-26th place.

Tvesa, who is a regular on Ladies European Tour, made three birdies and four bogeys in her first-day game at the Kristianstad Golf Club in Sweden.

Chloe Williams of Wales grabbed the opening round lead after carding 6-under 66.

Aditi Ashok, who finished her last event at the tied-10th position, started her campaign this week with a not so pleasant 2-over 74 to be placed tied-42nd.

Astha Madan, on the other hand, witnessed another poor start as she carded a disastrous 13-over 85 to finish day one at last position.

Thailand's Atthaya Thithikul and Stephanie Kyraciou of Australia shared the tied-2nd spot; two shot off the leader Chloe Williams.

A pack of four golfers were further shot back at 3-under heading into the second round.
