Rory Hie shots an impeccable four-under-par 68 to win the inaugural Classic Golf and Country Club International Championship on Sunday at Gurugram, Haryana.

It is a proud moment for the Indonesian golf, as
their star golfer Rory Hie became the first Indonesian to win on the Asian
Tour. 

Hie played impressively throughout the tournament with rounds of (64, 68, 67, 68). But, the table had turned in his final round when he shot the hat-trick of birdies from the 13th hole which gives Hie the edge over Rashid Khan. 

While, the winner of two Asian Tour titles in 2014,
Rashid Khan who performed well and was Trailing Rory Hie by one stroke
overnight. Before the nail-biting final round at the Jack Nicklaus-designed
course at Gurugram, Haryana. But, could able to not win the tournament. 

His hopes were alive till the 14th hole. But, a bogey on the 15th tee cost Rashid Khan the Classic Golf & Country Club International Championship title as Indonesia’s Rory Hie claimed the trophy with a winners’ cheque of $54,000. 

Yet, the Indian golfers have done exceptionally
well, as 10 players finished their tournament campaign inside the Top-20
position. But still a dent left as India was hoping for their first Asian
Tour title of the year. 

Now, there are only nine more events to go on the
Asian Tour’s this season, and the host country remains without a title in 2019.
Although, the Indians have won 16 international honors in the last three
years.
