Tvesa Malik tied-11th after first round of Ladies Open de France

Tvesa Malik carded a brilliant 2-under 69 in the opening round to grab tied-11th position at the Ladies Open de France.

The 25-year-old golfer made four birdies against two bogeys to sit just three shots off the leader heading into the second round.

The French golfers Anais Meyssonnier and Agathe Laisne shared the first-round lead after shooting 5-under 66 at the Golf du Medoc Resort in France.

Both made six birdies and just one bogey to claim the seat ahead of 110+ players at the €300,000 prize money event.

A pack of four golfers, including the 2015 Tipsport Golf Masters Hannah Burke, were further shot back at the 54-hole European Tour event.

Aditi Ashok made a disappointing start at the Portland Classic as she finished her opening round nine shots off the leader.

Aditi, the lone Indian golfer on the LPGA Tour, only had one birdie in her whole round but made two bogeys and two double-bogeys at the Oregon Golf Club in Portland.

The 23-year-old Olympian now needed a solid second round to keep herself alive for the weekend action.
