Shubhankar Sharma, Gaganjeet Bhullar aim for better show at the Scottish Open

The Indian duo of Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar will hope for a better showing in the Scottish Open starting on Thursday after having a not so pleasant finish at last week's Irish Open.

The two-time European Tour champion Shubhankar has made eight cuts in 15 events in 2021; tied-8th at the Made in HimmerLand was his best in the current season of the European Tour.

Bhullar, who won the 2020 Tour Championship, has made five cuts in 11 starts this season.

Both the European Tour regular will start their campaign today with an aim to regain form and improve their position on the European Tour.

Shubhanakar will start his proceeding with Nicolas Colasaerts, Chris Wood at 8:30 AM GMT+1. The other Indian Bhullar will tee off with Cormac Sharvin, Edoardo Molinari at 2:10 PM GMT+1.

After Lucas Herbert’s magnificent win at the Irish Open, the European Tour moves on to the North Berwick, Scotland, for the Scottish Open at Renaissance Golf Club.

The tournament will feature 156 golfers, with Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas tee off the tournament as the most prolific group.

Brandon Stone, who won this event in 2018, will start as a favourite to win the star-studded €6,215,965 prize money event.

The field includes some of the big names like Tyrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood, Lee Westwood, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns, Corey Conners, Henrik Stenson, Lucas Herbert, to name a few.
