Rashid Khan fires 6-under 66 in second round, rises to T-12 at Mixed Cup

Rashid Khan carded a brilliant 6-under 66 in the second round of Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup to end the day as the best-placed Indian on Friday.

Khan, a 12-time PGTI winner, who started with a steady 1-under 71, played a splendid round of 6-under 66 on day two to climb up from overnight tied-52 to tied-12th at the Asian and Ladies European Tour co-sanctioned event.

Ratchanon Chantananuwat and Sanna Nuutinen again posted a matching score on the second consecutive day to remain joint leaders at the US$ prize money event.

Chantananuwat and Nuutinen, both after carding a super impressive 9-under 63s on day one, shot 2- under the 70s on day two to reach 11-under 133 at the halfway point.

Three golfers, including rookie Ian Snyman, were at tied-3rd. Diksha Dagar posted a fantastic 4-under 68 in round two and emerged as the second-best Indian at tied-21st spot.

The veteran Ajeetesh Sandhu shot 5-under 67 to be placed tied-29th heading into weekend action.

Both Chikkarangappa and Viraj Madappa, who were the best-placed Indians after round one, had a steady day at work, as both carded a matching 1-under 71s to be tied-42nd.

Tvesa Malik secured the final qualifying berth for the weekend with a second-straight 71.
