Diksha Dagar’s heroics help her team win the Aramco Team series

Diksha Dagar fired a spectacular 3-under 69 in the final round of the Aramco team series to help her team secure a solid victory at the Centurion Club, Hertfordshire, U.K.

The young and talented Dagar smashed three birdies in the last four holes and played her part quite awesomely to grab her second Ladies European Tour title.

Diksha is a member of a team that includes her captain Olivia Cowan, Germany's Sarin Schmidt, and Andrew Kelsey, an amateur.

The team scored 12-under in the final round to get to a 41-under total for a three-stroke victory.

It was the biggest payday for the 20-year-old Diksha, who earned $50,000 from the winning team’s prize money of $150,000.

She also became the second Indian golfer after Aditi Ashok to win more than once on the Ladies European Tour.  Her first LET win came at the 2019 Investec SA Women's Open.

The other Indian playing in the field, Tvesa Malik, who led one of the 36 teams, also showed some excellent golfing skills and managed to finish the tournament at a tied-ninth position.

Her teammates were Lina Boqvist, Valerie Fricot, and amateur Hannah Holden.

There were 36 teams with seeded captains leading their teams of four players, comprised of one US-style draft pick, one randomly allocated player and one amateur, all on the eve of the tournament.
