Amandeep Drall lies T-10 after first-round of Magical Kenya Ladies Open

Amandeep Drall started her 2022 campaign with a decent 1-over 73 in the opening round of Magical Kenya Ladies Open.

The 2021 Hero WPGT Order of Merit champion Drall had two bogeys against one birdie in her round and was at a tied-10th position at the Baobab golf course in Vipingo.

Swedish golfer Linnea Storm played the best round of the day in the challenging conditions to grab the first-round lead.

Storm carded a solid 4-under 68 with the help of eight birdies against two bogeys and one double bogey to set the pace at the Ladies European Tour €300,000 prize money event.

Diksha Dagar

The 2019 South African Women’s Open winner Diksha Dagar, the second Indian in field, had a rough first round as she ended her day with a card of 3-over 75.

Dagar witnessed a roller-coaster in her first nine holes, in which she shot three bogeys one double bogey and just one birdie for a 4-over 40. She didn’t make any errors on the back-nine, and with one birdie, she finished at 1-under 35 for a first-round total of 3-over 75.

On a challenging day at the office, only four golfers, Linnea Storm, Emma Grechi, Amy Boulden and Julia Langston, were able to card under-par scores out of 96 players.
