Shubhankar Sharma finishes tied-13 at Magical Kenya Open

India’s International star Shubhankar Sharma missed the chance to win his third DP World Tour title after a decent 2-under 69 on Sunday.

Sharma, who opened with a superb 6-under 65 and followed it up with a 4-under 67, was the leader at the halfway point; however, he lost his stride in the third round, scoring 4-over 75 and falling from overnight first to tie-17th.

Everyone was anticipating for a turnaround after entering the final round at 6-under, but Sharma finished tied-13th with an 8-under 276 tournament total.

Chinese golfer Ashun Wu, turn out to be real superstar on the final day as with a sublime 7-under 65, he grabbed his fourth DP World Tour title.

The game was a bit challenging not for Wu, but for the player who wants to finish inside top-3 at least.

Germany’s Hurly Long and Thirston Lawrence of South Africa, both with a final round of 66s, ended the event at tied-2nd alongside Canadian Aaron Cockrell at 12-under 272.

Englishman David Horsey shot rounds of 65,70,65,69 to finish at solo fifth.

Daniel Gavins, who had the lead after the first round, struggled on the second day of work, shooting 1-over 73 to lose the lead, and despite a 2-under on third and a 5-under 67 on the final day, he ended tied for sixth.
