Shivendra Singh Sisodia had a brilliant day at work as he recorded nine-under 63 in the second round to grab a two-shot lead at the halfway point of the Players Championship.
The 32-year-old Sisodia, lying overnight tied fifth and two off the lead, totalled 13-under 131 following his career-best round to enjoy a two-shot advantage at the top.

Md Zamal Hossain Mollah of Bangladesh played an error-free round of 6-under 66 to retain his second spot heading into weekend action at Chandigarh Golf Club.
Round-one leader Abhijit Singh Chadha fired a decent three-under 69 to slip from overnight first to third position at the Rs.50 Lakh prize money event.
Tricity golfer Angad Cheema shot a 67 that featured an eagle-two on the 17th. Cheema occupied tied fourth place at eight-under 136 along with Gurugram’s Kartik Sharma who fired a 69.
Local Lad Yuvraj Singh Sandhu (67) was tied sixth at seven-under 137 along with Kolkata’s Sunit Chowrasia (65). The Olympian Udayan Mane, on the other hand, was in the eighth place after a delightful four-under 68 on day two.
The cut was declared at one-over 145. Fifty-seven professionals made the cut.
Abhinav Lohan, Aadil Bedi, Tapy Ghai, Vishav Pratap Singh Gill, MD Nawab, Kapil Kumar were among the notables who failed to make the cut.
