Tvesa Malik, Diksha Dagar open with modest rounds at Big Green Egg Open

Indian golfers Tvesa Malik and Diksha Dagar started their Big Green Egg Open’s campaign with modest rounds of 1-over 73 to share tied-34th position at the Rosendaelsche Golf Club, Arnhem.
Tvesa Malik smashed three birdies against four bogeys to make a steady start at the Ladies European Tour’s €200,000 prize money event.
Diksha Dagar, who started with a birdie and was 2-under after nine-hole, made three more bogeys in her final nine holes to end day one with the 1-over score.
The other Indians competing in the tournament, Vani Kapoor and Astha Madan, both struggled on day one.
Vani Kapoor, who is returning to the LET after a long gap, shot a disappointing 6-over 78. While the young Astha Madan added a disastrous 11-over 83 in her first round.

Both Vani and Astha are now in danger of missing the cut, which is likely to fall around 3-over or 4-over.
Australia’s Stephanie Kyriacou grabbed the first-round lead after carding a brilliant 6-under 66 on a damp and drizzly day in the Netherlands.
Kyriacou made eight birdies against two bogeys to secure the two-stroke lead in the first round.
Lily May Humphreys, who started her professional career last month, played spectacular throughout the day and was two shots behind the lead after the opening round.
