Tvesa, Diksha, Shubhankar and Ajeetesh to tee up today at Scandinavian mixed masters

Indian golfers are all set to tee up today at the unique golf event in which both male and female golfers compete.
Tvesa Malik and Diksha Dagar, among the women, and Shubhankar Sharma and Ajeetesh Sandhu, among the men, will lead the Indian challenge at Scandinavian mixed masters.
The entertaining event will start today at Vallda Golf & Country Club, Sweden, in which 78 players, each from the European Tour and the Ladies European Tour -- competing against each other on the same course for one prize fund and one trophy.
Following the first two rounds, a cut will be made to the top 65 players and ties from the 156-player field.

All four Indians are aiming to perform well at this exciting European Tour event.
Tvesa finished T-6 last week at the Jabra Ladies Open in France was also T-10 at the Ladies Italian Open a week earlier. The finish at Jabra Ladies equaled her career-best at the Hero Indian Women's Open in India in 2019.
A one-time winner on LET, Diksha Dagar, finished tied-9th last week at the Czech Ladies on the Ladies European Access Tour.
Shubhankar Sharma, a solid contender on any course, is also in fine form as he ended his made in himmerland campaign at tied-8th two weeks back. While the 2019 Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational champion, Ajeetesh Sandhu, is also hoping for a better finish.

This tournament is jointly hosted by Sweden's greatest ever male and female golfers, Henrik Stenson and Annika Sorenstam.
The maiden tournament was due to be held last summer but was cancelled because of the pandemic. There will be a prize fund of €1m for this officially-designated Tour event, with World Ranking points available.
