Shubhankar Sharma starts with a modest 68, lies tied-33 at European Masters

Shubhankar Sharma started his European Masters campaign with a modest 2-under 68 at the Crans-sur-Sierre GC on Thursday.
The 25-year-old Sharma, in his first round, made four birdies and one eagle against two bogeys and one double bogey to claim the tied-33rd position.
The two time European Tour champion Shubhankar is in decent form as he finished his last European Tour event at the tied-9th place two weeks back.
James Morrison of England smashed a breathtaking 10-under 60 to grab the first-round lead at the European Master.
With nine birdies and one eagle, he claimed the top spot and now is three shots ahead of its competitors.

The second Indian playing in the field, SSP Chawrasia, had a dreary first round, in which he carded 1-over 71 to be placed at the tied-96th position.
Chawrasia, after having a bad day at the office, now needs a solid second round in order to make the cut in this star-studded event.
Marcus Armitage and Robin Scoit-Seigrist secured the tied 2nd position after both shot spectacular 7-under 63.
The defending champion Sebastian Soderberg fired 4-under 66 to claim tied-12th spot heading into the second round.
