Shubhankar Sharma aims for a good show at Wales Open

Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma is all set to make a positive mark in this week’s Wales Open at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, Wales.

Shubhankar will start his Wales Open campaign tomorrow with an aim to regain form and improve his position on the international Tour.

Two weeks ago, the 25-year-old golfer failed to make the cut in the Scottish Open.

Though Shubhankar finished eighth at Made in Himmerland, he has missed eight cuts in sixteen starts in 2021.

After somewhat disappointing results, the 2018 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion is hoping to end his winless streak when he tees off at the Wales Open on Thursday.

Gaganjeet Bhullar and Ajeetesh Sandhu, the other two Indian golfers, will also try to improve their positions with the solid game of golf this week.

The tournament is set to feature some of the top professional international stars such as Ian Poulter, John Catlin, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Daniel Van Tonder, Graeme McDowell to name a few.
