Ridhima Dilawari wins first leg of Women’s Pro Golf Tour 2021

Ridhima Dilawari won the opening event of the 2021 Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in style at the Prestige Golfshire on Friday.

Dilawari, who is always considered a strong contender on the professional tour, fired a final round 71 to claim the first leg of 2021.

The Delhi based golfer, who managed to score 71 in the opening round, played a sensational game of golf on day 2; and shot a 5-under 67 to secure a 6-shot lead over Pranavi Urs, and after hitting 71 on the final day, she comfortably clinched the title with an impressive total of 7-under 216.

Pranavi Urs, who impressed us the most in the last season, got off to a good start again and finished her campaign at second position with an overall score of 2-under 214.

The experienced Vani Kapoor takes third place with an overall total of even-par 216 (72,74,70).

Among the other prominent names, Diksha Kavery (70) was fourth at 5-over 221, Ananya Datar (73) was fifth at 6-over 222, Sneha Singh (70), Hitashee Bakshi (73), and Seher Atwal (74) at (7-over 223) shared the tied-6th position, and the veteran Neha Tripathi (72) and the round 1 co-leader Amandeep Drall (75) completed the first event at the T-9 spot at 8-over 224.
