Review: Golf Pride New Decade MultiCompound MCC Plus 4 Grip

Feel

The latest Golf Pride New Decade MultiCompound MCC Plus 4 Grip has very distinct feel on the lower half. The thick lower half is even softer than the previous versions as Golf Pride has employed a softer rubber compound for these grips. However, the top is pretty much like the older versions, which is firm and has enough cord to make it a nice all weather grip.

Performance

Golf Pride claims that the new design has benefits like: lighter grip pressure, reduced tension and increased power. Yes, the listed geeky benefits do have some impact on overall performance. However, as already said, the larger lower hand makes it very easy to hook the ball anywhere.

Also, the grips are almost taper free, which is a big plus for all golfers as swinging the club becomes far easier. Your hands have the same size overall, so tapering hasn’t made much sense anyway, ever. Looks like, Golf Pride is also repeating Super Stroke’s slogan “Say No To Taper” with the new MCC Plus4 and CP2 Wrap having minimal taper.
