Pranavi Urs fires 3-under 69 to grab first-round lead in eleventh leg of Hero WPGT

The young and determined Pranavi Urs posted a brilliant 3-under 69 to grab the first-round lead in the eleventh leg of hero WPGT.

Two-time Hero WPGT champion Pranavi had a solid first day at the Panchkula Golf Club in which he managed to shoot four birdies and just one bogey to end her day one shot ahead of her Amandeep Drall.

Local golfer Amandeep Drall, who won the WPGT’s last week’s event at the Chandigarh Golf Club, started her PGC campaign on a high note.

The current Women’s Professional Golf Tour Order of merit leader Amandeep Drall made four birdies against two bogeys to end her day at 2-under 70.

Delhi-based Seher Atwal claimed the solo third after carding a steady 1-under 71 in the first round.

Leg 09 winner Lakhmerhar Pardesi grabbed the fourth spot, while amateur Kriti Chowhan and two-time WPGT champion Jahanvi Bakshi share the tied-5th place heading into the second round.

Pre-tournament favourite veteran Vani Kapoor shot 3-over 75 to be placed seventh at the Rs. 9 lakh event.
