Life Under Par-Uncommon Golf Tales: Episode 4 - Rashid Khan


The name Rashid Khan is synonymous with golf in India, and why would it not be? He is after all one of the most prominent Indian golfers.
Rashid's uncle introduced him to golf during his early adolescence years. He has represented India during his junior days and at 17 Years he won nine consecutive Amateur tournaments and became the first-ever amateur in India. He turned professional when he was of18 years and won his first pro tournament the very next year in a record-breaking performance.
Like many indigent athletes of India, Rashid also faced obstacles during his initial days. But he worked hard on his game and despite all odds stacked against him, Rashid emerged as a champion golfer & still continues to shine.
In his professional career, he has won 12 tournaments, including two Asian Tour titles and has topped the PGTI Orders of Merit 3 Times. By the end of 2020 Rashid rose to become the top Ranked Indian golfer on the OWGR which he considers as one of his most fulfilling achievements.
