Justin reached the Top spot in the FedEx Cup standings with a spectacular win at the BMW Championship. This is Thomas’ 10th win in the last four years.
Thomas played a sizzling round of 61 on Saturday which is indeed a new course record. Also, that performance gave him six-shot lead into the final round. On Sunday, at the Sunburn Chicago, he birdied four of his last eight holes to finish at four-under and 25 under par overall, one last birdie gave him a four-under par 68, and a three-stroke victory over Cantlay.
The 2017 PGA Championship winner has an advantage over his 29 rivals due to new playoffs rules. After the sensational win at the BMW Championship, Justin claims the reward of two-stroke lead for next week’s final event, the Tour Championship.

Thomas becomes the leader at the East Lake and starts his play at -10 under the Tour Championship’s new format followed by Cantlay at -8. Considering the advantage Thomas will be the best-positioned player to win the FedEx Cup 2019.
