Callaway Apex 21 Irons: Review and Comparison Apex, Pro, DCB

This year Callaway has come up with a brand new Apex 21 family, with an aim to suit everyone from tour players to 20-handicap club golfers.

These Apex irons are made to continue the brand's famous legacy of forged performance while doing it in an all-new way: loaded with technology never used before in a forged Apex golf club.

The advanced features provided by Callaway in these irons doubled our excitement. So, let's quickly find out how these new Apex irons perform out on the course?

Apex

The Apex 21 iron gives the feel you would expect from a genuine forged construction.

The Apex 21 is the first Apex iron to incorporate artificial intelligence in the Face Cup; this is based on a technology first seen in the Epic Flash drivers.

The Flash Face Cup consists of a complex face architecture that is unique for every iron in the set. It’s designed to boost ball speeds to unprecedented levels, increase spin robustness across the face, and improve controllability.

Apex Pro

If we compare the new Apex 21 pro with the previous Apex Pro 19, then you will get more speed, more forgiveness, better spin consistency and feel.

The pro model has a forged hollow-body construction with a thinner sole and more compact profile compared to the standard Apex 21.

Apex DCB

DCB is the game improvement option in the Apex line-up; it provides the forged look, feel, and performance of a player's iron in a deep cavity-back design, a Tungsten Energy Core that promotes outstanding launch and more forgiveness on off-center shots, and an A.I.-designed Flash Face Cup.

The Apex DCB is also the most forgiving of the Apex '21 line, it features the soft 1025 carbon steel forged body with the Flash Face Cup and slightly larger body and sole.

Along with the Apex 21 and Apex Pro 21, the DCB 21 is the first forged iron to feature Callaway’s Flash Face technology, and the first Apex iron to utilize a Tungsten Energy Core.

The best thing about the DCB iron is that now golfers of all abilities can play a forged iron with confidence.
