BMW Championships 2019: Tiger Woods falls way behind at the BMW leaderboard

The champion golfer Tiger Woods fall towards the bottom of the leaderboard in the second of three FedEx Cup playoff events.

Woods starts at 38th in the season points standings, and after round 1 in the BMW Championship, he is projected to drop 10 spots. But the defending champion needs a top 10 finish this week to reach East Lake, where he won his 80th PGA Tour title last year.
After, withdrawing the name from the Northern Trust with an oblique strain last week he puts a question mark if he is fit for the remaining events of the FedEx Cup playoffs 2019. But, he puts the speculations aside and plays his game freely with no signs of physical discomfort on Thursday in the first round of the 2019 BMW Championship.

Woods 1-under 71 has to be considered a decent performance, as he has health issues and has played fairly less number of games in the last year. Tiger is now standing at tied 51 in the 70-men BMW Championship, but he needs to be into the top30 in the FedEx Cup standings to advance to the Tour Championship next week.
However, he still has a chance to qualify. All he can do is just focused on his game on Friday and Saturday and get over his past results to allow himself to play his way into the top 10 on Sunday, which confirms his place at the final event of the FedEx Cup playoffs 2019.
So, don’t miss the game as Woods is all set to play his next round at Medinah on Friday at 10:37 a.m. EST.
