Anirban Lahiri starts the 2021 PGA Tour season with a tied-62 at Sony Open

Ace Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri ended his first event of the 2021 PGA Tour at T-62 position after a roller-coaster four-over 74 at the Sony Open on Sunday.

The 2016 Rio Olympian played a great game in the first three rounds but carded a 4-over par in the final day, which throws water on all his doings.

After making a splendid 69 in first, 65 in second, and 64 in the third round, Lahiri bulbs up the hope to secure a decent position in his first event of the 2021 PGA Tour, but the star golfer somehow loses his momentum on the final day and finished his campaign at T-62 position Lahiri at the Waialae Country Club in Hawaii.

The talented golfer starts off the day at an influential tied-17th position, but the fourth and final round on Sunday did not go the way Lahiri wanted it to, as he only managed to shot 74 on the closing day.

He carded a double bogey on the second and two consecutive bogeys on the third and fourth holes to start off on the back foot, but he did fire two birdies on the eighth and ninth to end the front nine on a positive note.

The 33-year-old stayed solid and making pars in all holes except the 14th, where he carded a double bogey, and that shot turned the table for the PGA Tour regular as he ended with a final round 74, giving him an aggregate score of eight-under.
