Anirban Lahiri climbs leaderboard with 3rd-round 64 in Corales Championship

Indian star Anirban Lahiri maintained his reputation as a tough competitor and finished in T-7 place after the end of Day 3 in the Corales Puntacana Championship.

On Saturday, Lahiri shot his best round on the PGA Tour since 2018, producing a bogey-free 8-under 64 that settled him into the top-10 after 54 holes.

Lahiri believes that chat with his coach, the golf maestro Vijay Divecha on iron, and wedge play, which he felt needed work, helped him to boost confidence.

The man in form fired a 64 to get to 11-under and moved from night T-54 to Tied-7 after the end of round-3.

Another legendary Indian on the field, Arjun Atwal, shot 69 in the 3rd round to reach T-36 in the leaderboard.

"It was great, especially nice to have a clean card. I''ve made a bunch of silly errors over the last two days and I''ve been playing better than my score would suggest, so I knew that I had to come out and kind of tighten up, focus a little bit more. Hit my irons a lot better today, put some work yesterday afternoon and I''m glad it paid off," said Lahiri.
