Ajeetesh Sandhu finishes at tied-22nd spot, Shubhankar Sharma ends t-27th at Dutch Open

Ajeetesh Sandhu carded an even-par 70 in the final round to emerge as the best-placed Indian at a tied-22nd position at the Dutch Open.
Sandhu, the 2019 Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational champion, scored consecutive 69s on the first three days and with a 72 on the final day, he ended his run at a total score of 9-under 279.
His fellow Indian, Shubhankar Sharma, who was at a tied-9tth position at the halfway stage, posted a 2-over 74 on Saturday and a modest 2-under 70 on Sunday to complete his journey at the Bermudas Golf at the tied-27th place.
Despite carding an even-par 72 on the final day, the Swedish golfer Kristopher Broberg won the Dutch Open that too by three shots.
The 35-year-old scored a spectacular 68,64,61 in three days to reach 23-under, and with an even-par 72 on the final day, he easily defeated his competition to win his second European Tour championship.

The third Indian playing in the event, SSP Chawrasia had a forgettable tournament. The 42-year-old started his campaign on a dry note with a score of 3-over 75, but in the second round, he rebounded and scored 5-under 67 to make the cut.
Chawrasia carded a catastrophic 10-over 82 in the third round, and he finished last with a 75 on the closing day.
Matthias Schmid of Germany secured the second spot after scoring a satisfying 20-under 268 over four days.
Rory Sabbatini, who won silver medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020, finished at tied-50th position.
