Green, the winner of the 2019 Women's PGA Championship, had a roller-coaster front nine, with five birdies and two bogeys, but with steady play at the back nine, in which she shot a perfect 33 with three birdies, put her in first place heading into round two.

Three golfers, Dryburgh Gemma of Scotland, Kim Hyo Joo of Korea and America’s Lee Alison, joined Aditi at second with matching scores of 5-under 67.

Aditi, the lone Indian playing on LPGA Tour, is seeking her maiden win on the LPGA Tour, as her last worldwide title was at Ladies European Tour in the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in 2017.

Two-time LPGA champion Sarah Kemp and three others were at tied-7th.

The defending champion Lydia Ko along with World No.4 Min Lee, were tied-11th after both scored4-under 68s.
