Aditi Ashok gets off to a disappointing start at Evian Championship

Aditi Ashok made a disappointing start at the Evian Championship as she finished the opening round ten shots off the lead in France.
Aditi, who ended tied for third place in the LPGA's last week event, couldn't keep up her rhythm and shot a stressful 4-over 75 at the Evian Resort Golf Club.
The only Indian playing in the event, Aditi was at even-par through nine holes, but then she made two bogeys and one double bogey to end her day at a painful 4-over.
The 23-year-old, who made eight cuts in eleven events this season, now needed a solid second to keep herself alive for the weekend action.

Pajaree Annanukarn and Yealimi Noh shared the first-round lead after both carding 6-under 65 at the Evian Championship.
2019 U.S Women’s Open champion Jeongeun Lee and five-time Ladies European Tour winner Emile Kristine Pedersen were among a pack of five golfers a further shot off the lead.
Defending champion Jin Young Ko posted one-over 73 and found a tied-76th place at the LPGA co-sanctioned $4,500,000 prize money event.
World No. 1 Nelly Korda was also seen struggling in France, as she carded a 3-over to sit at the tied-99th position after the end of day one competition.
