American golfer Jason Kokrak won the battle against the unfavourable weather conditions at the Memorial Park Golf Course to clinch his third PGA Tour victory on Sunday.
Kokrak produced a blistering 5-under 65 in the final round to beat Kevin Tway (68) and Scottie Scheffler (69) by two shots.
The 36-year old Kokrak had 24 birdies against nine bogeys, one double bogey and one triple bogey in his campaign at the Houston open to grab his ninth professional title.
2018 Safeway Open winner Kewin Tway shot 2-under 68 to share the tied-second position with pre-tournament favourite Scottie Scheffler .
Scheffler, who was the leader at the start of the final day, had a dreary round as he only managed to score 1-under 69 to finish his run two shots off the winner Jason Kokrak.
Kokrak, who has been playing professional golf for almost 13 years, grabbed his third on PGA Tour in just a span of the last 13 months.
Martin Trainer, who led after the first round, finished at tied for fifth place with Joel Dahmen with a 6-under 274 total.
