Calm and steady Jahanvi Bakshi, who turned professional in 2020, grabbed her fourth WPGT in the span of 6 months.
The Gurugram-based golfer posted a solid 3-under 69 in the final round to win the 13th leg of Hero WPGT by a single shot.
It was Jahanvi’s second consecutive win on the land of Hyderabad; last week, also she proved her mettle on the Hyderabad Golf Club, where she won by four strokes to claim her third professional title.
This week she made her presence felt at the challenging Boulder Hills Golf Club and stunned the top professionals to emerge as champion yet another time.
Seher Atwal, who was joint-leader after the second round, scored a moderate 1-under 71 to finish one shot behind the leader with a total of 6-under 210.
Round-1 leader Vani Kapoor, who lost the path in the second round, made a decent comeback and shot 2-under 70 on the final day to finish at tied-3rd.
The other who shared the 3rd place was the WPGT Order of Merit leader Amandeep Drall, who started the day as leader, only managed to score an even-par 72, still holding the Order of Merit lead though.
With a tied-3rd finish, Amandeep Drall maintained her top position at the Hero Order of Merit. So as Vani, who retained her second spot, while Jahanvi Bakshi, who won her fourth title, all in 2021, sitting at third.Posted on: 2021 Nov 27 Sat
