Jahanvi Bakshi won the 12th leg of Hero WPGT with a big margin of five shots over seasoned golfer Vani Kapoor.
Jahanvi, who remained in the lead throughout the tournament, posted a solid 2-under 69 in the final round at the challenging Hyderabad golf club to grab her third WGAI win.
The young golfer from Delhi had an error-free final round, and with the help of three birdies, the 18-year-old Jahanvi emerged victorious at the challenging Hyderabad Golf Club.
Veteran golfer Vani Kapoor, who carded an impressive 3-under 68 in the second round, lost her momentum on the final day and shot 2-over 73 to finish five shots behind the winner Jahanvi Bakshi.
Gaurika Bishnoi, who was the joint-leader after round 2, had a disastrous final day at the Hyderabad Golf Club as she didn’t manage to hit even a single birdie in her whole round.
Bishnoi (72-68-76), who started steadily with two consecutive pars, made two bogeys in the remaining seven holes on the front nine, and had three bogeys on the back nine to end her run at an overall score of 5-over 216.
WPGT Order of Merit leader Amandeep Drall had a roller-coaster kind of event, in which she shot 73,72,71 in three days to finish at a tied-3rd place alongside Gaurika Bishnoi.
