Hitaashee Bakshi finishes strong, helps her team win Ballantine Golf Championship

Hitaashee Bakshi, Aadil Bedi and Ankur Chadha’s team grabbed the Ballantine’s Golf Championship title after a splendid performance from the trio at the mixed pro challenge event.
Hitaashee, Aadil, and Ankur's (131-138) team, who were two shots ahead after the first round, posted six-under 138 in the second to win India's first-ever men's and women's mixed event.

The young Hitaashee, who already won two events on the WPGT this season, ended her Ballantine Golf Championship campaign as the best performer for her team for the second day in succession with scores of 66 and 69.
The team comprising Gaurika Bishnoi, Sunit Chowrasia and Yuvraj Singh Sandhu finished the event as runners-up with a gross score of 17-under 271.

Hitaashee Bakshi, playing at her home course, mixed six birdies against a bogey and a double-bogey on the final day to score a steady 69.
Aadil Bedi got a chip-in birdie on the first hole, followed by two further birdies on the third and fourth holes, to give the winning team an early lead. He then conceded five bogeys to end up with a 74 in round two.
Ankur Chadha, the third member of the winning team, who had a decent 69 on day one, posted 78 on the second day. Besides Hitaashee’s 66, Ankur’s 69 in round one played a pivotal role in his team’s solid start on Tuesday.
The team of Gaurika Bishnoi (76), Sunit Chowrasia (74), and Yuvraj Singh Sandhu (81) held on to their overnight second position on Wednesday.
The team consisting of Jahanvi Bakshi, Honey Baisoya, and Mani Ram finished tied third at 16-under 272. The other team that finished tied third comprised Khalin Joshi, Kartik Sharma and Oviya Reddi.
