Gaurika Bishnoi played a decent round of 71 on the second day to maintain her lead at the first leg of Hero WPGT on Thursday.
The Gurugram-based Bishnoi, who shot a blistering 6-under 66 in the first round, managed to card 1-under 71 today to enjoy a three-shot advantage over Pranavi Urs heading into the final round at Boulder hills golf & country club in Hyderabad.
Gaurika had a roller-coaster round today, with four birdies sandwiched between one bogey and one double bogey, but she still retained the lead thanks to her first-round 66.
The day’s best round belonged to Pranavi Urs, who posted an electrifying 7-under 65 to climb up from overnight tied-11th to solo the second position with only one round to play.
Pranavi had a completely error-free round of 65, and with the help of seven birdies, four on the first and three on the back nine, she reached at 4-under 140 after 36 holes.
The Amateur Sneha Singh, who carded 1-under 71 in the first round, made a slight improvement in the second round and shot 2-under 70 to be at the third spot.
Hitaashee Bakshi also improved with 2-under 70 over her 2-over 74 yesterday to reach solo fourth.While a pack of three golfers, including 4-time WPGT winner Jahanvi Bakshi, were at the tied-5th position.
