Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri again carded a modest round to stay in the hunt to finish his Farmers Open campaign on a decent note.
Lahiri, who shot 70 on the first day, shot 71 on Thursday and 72 on Friday at the Torrey Pines South Course in San Diego to tie for 62nd place.
2021 Masters runner-up blew everyone away with his impressive 7-under 65 to share the lead with Australian Jason Day at 14-under 202.
Zalatoris, who started his day with a par, smashed an eagle on 381-yard, par-4 second hole to give himself the much-needed confidence and struck five birdies with no errors in the remaining 16 holes.
Day (70-65-67), on the other hand, shot three back-to-back birdies from 16th to 18th to move to top heading into the final day.
The overnight leader Jon Rahm was a further shot back at 13-under and shared the tied-3rd spot with the young Englishman Aaron Rai.
Three golfers including, 14-time PGA Tour champion Justin Thomas, were at the tied-5th spot.
The day’s best round belonged to Cameron Young, who produced an 8-under 64 to climb from overnight 62 to tied-8th.Posted on: 2022 Jan 29 Sat
