Asian Tour to return to India after 2 years with DGC Open
Asian Tour is set to return to India after nearly two-and-a-half years with the inaugural DGC Open to be held at the newly renovated Lodhi Course from Mar 24 to Mar 27.
The inaugural DGC Open will be promoted by the Delhi Golf Course. The club builds some strict regulations and guidelines to ensure the safe conduct of the tournament.
In the last Asian Tour event in India, Korean teenager Joohyung Kim emerged victorious after carding 13-under 203 to secure a one-shot win at the Panasonic Open in November 2019.
While the 2018 Panasonic Open was won by star Indian golfer Khalin Joshi.
The Asian Tour resumed after a 20-month COVID break with two back-to-back events in November and December in Phuket. In which, Chinese Taipei’s Chan Shin-Chang won the Blue Canyon Phuket Championship while Phachara Khongwatmai grabbed the Laguna Phuket Championship title.
The 2020-21 season will end with two tournaments in Singapore scheduled in January – The Singapore International and the SMBC Singapore Open.Posted on: 2021 Dec 29 Wed
