Anirban Lahiri loses his PGA Tour card

Anirban Lahiri, one of India’s top golfer and the sport’s finest player, is struggling with his game and lost his PGA Tour card this week.

To keep his card for 2019-20 he needed to finish within 125 but after the regular season, he is standing at a 178th position in the FedEx Cup Rank, which automatically eliminates him from the cup.
Lahiri is currently ranked 308 in the world, but there was a time when he was at his peak and has reached the 33rd spot in the rankings and everyone hoping that Lahiri is the next big thing in golf for India. However, over the years he proved his passion and playing ability towards sport, but from the past few months he is playing not as usual, and he feels that too.
Bangalore’s 32 years old golfer had only one top 10 finish in 2018-19, which was a tied 10th place at Mayakoba Classic. He has been a member of PGA Tour for four years, but this time the story is different, he finished at 178th in the FedEx Cup standings that won’t be enough to keep him in the race of the Cup.

Lahiri isn’t in his best form at the moment, He drew some confidence from the number of green’s he hit in regulation over the past few weeks, but he hasn’t been able to convert pars into bogies.
Being the first Indian to earn a spot at the president’s cup, His fans and golf lovers wanted him to succeed as he is a better player than his current form, and we know he works very hard to regain his position as a top golfer.
Anirban still has a chance to gain PGA Tour playing rights for the season 2019-20 if he finishes in Top25 in the Kon Ferry Tour Finals.
