Anirban Lahiri looking to make a positive mark at Charles Schwab Challenge

The talented Anirban Lahiri is all set to make a positive mark in this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge in Fortworth, United States.

He will start his Charles campaign today with an aim to regain form and improve his position on the PGA.

The 33-year-old has missed seven cuts in fourteen starts in 2021; tied-5th at Texas Open was his best finish in the current season of PGA Tour.

Lahiri is seeking his maiden win on the PGA Tour as his last worldwide title was at home in the Hero Indian Open in 2015. The Bengalurian’s last two wins came in three weeks in 2015, when he won the Malaysia Open and the Hero Indian Open.

Lahiri will be in the first group to tee off on Thursday as he goes out with Lucas Glover and Harold Varner III at 7.10 am.

After Phil Mickelson’s breathtaking win at the PGA Championship, the PGA Tour moves on to Austin, Texas, for the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club.

Jordon Spieth, who won this event in 2016, will start as a favorite to win the USD 7.5 million event.

The magnificent field includes the 50-year-old Phil Mickelson, who amazed all with his PGA Championship win last week.

Tony Finau, Sergio Garcia, Collin Morikawa, Louis Oosthuizen, Daniel Berger, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, and Will Zalatoris are among the other notables in the field.
