An eagle on the last hole helps Daniel Berger to claim his fourth PGA Tour victory

Daniel Berger smashed a 30-foot eagle putt at the 72nd hole to win the 2021 PGA Tour Pebble Beach Pro-Am in sizzling style on Sunday.

The 27-year old won for the second time since the PGA Tour returned to golf from the COVID-19 pandemic, starting with a playoff victory at Colonial June 2020.

The young American golfer finished his campaign at 18-under 270 for his fourth victory on PGA Tour.

Berger had hit a 22-foot eagle putt at the second hole with four more birdies in his seven-under 65 for an 18-under total of 270.

"That was the best putt I've ever hit in my life," said Berger.

Former world number one Jordan Spieth, who started the final day with a two-shot lead, somehow lost his momentum and threw away his in-hand victory after carding a 2-under 70 to share the third spot with Patrick Cantlay (68).

Cantlay, who matched the Pebble Beach course record of 62 on Thursday, closed with a 68 and an overall total of 15-under 273.
