Amandeep Drall takes first-round lead at tenth leg of Hero WPGT

Amandeep Drall continued her outstanding form and carded a flawless 4-under 68 to grab the first-round lead at the tenth leg of the Women's professional golf Tour.

WPGT Order of Merit leader Drall smashed birdies on the third, tenth, fourteenth and sixteenth to claim a single shot lead over Amateur Avani Prasanth at the Chandigarh Golf Club.

Leg 7 champion Jahanvi Bakshi shot 1-under 71 to share the third spot with the winner of leg 4, Seher Atwal.

The veteran Vani Kapoor secured the tied-5th position going into the second round at the Rs. 10 Lakh event.

The second-best Amateur after the first round, Puneet K Bajwa, hit an eagle on the sixteenth hole to tie for fifth place.

Expect Vani; all the top-5 players shot a birdie on the Par-5 sixteenth hole.

A pack of four golfers, including Gaurika Bishnoi, who had a decent run at the Ladies European Tour a month back, were at the tied-7th position.
