Aditi Ashok finishes tied-61 at Women's Open

Back to back roller coaster rounds dismissed Aditi Ashok hopes to finish the final major event of this season in a creditable position.

Aditi carded a disappointing final round of 3-over 75 to end her run at the tied-61st place at the Carnoustie Championship Course.

The young Indian with rounds of (71,74,75,75) completed her Women's Open campaign at a total score of 7-over 295.

Aditi, the lone golfer in the event, made ten birdies, thirteen bogeys and two double bogeys in four days.

Anna Nordqvist outlasted the competitors to win her third major and took home $870,000 prize money at the most expensive LPGA Tour's event.

The 34-year-old golfer from Sweden carded 3-under 69 in the final round, and with a total score of 12-under 276, she clinched the victory by one stroke.

Georgia Hall, Madelene Sagstrom and Lizette Sals all three gave a tough fight in the round and finished the event just a shot back of the winner Anna Nordqvist.

World No.1 Nelly Korda, who was the leader after the first day, ended her campaign at tied-13th spot with 6-under 282.
