7-under finish at Wyndham Championship helps Anirban to qualify for Northern Trust

A solid show at Wyndham Championship helped Anirban Lahiri to secure his berth for the upcoming Northern Trust, the first tournament of the playoff system for the FedEx Cup.

In four days, the top-ranked Indian golfer posted a 7-under 273 to secure a spot in the top-125 heading to the Northern Trust.

The 34-year-old Lahiri made fifteen birdies, eight bogeys, one eagle, and one double bogey in his 4-day journey at the Sedgefield Country Club.

Kevin Kisner grabbed the Wyndham Championship title after defeating competitors in a six-man playoff game. 

The Northern Trust will take place at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey from August 19 to 22.

Shubhankar Sharma finishes tied ninth at the Cazoo Classic

Shubhankar Sharma played a superb final round of 4-under 68 to finish his Cazoo Classic campaign at a creditable tied-9th position. 

Rounds of ( ) helped him secure a place inside the top-10, which is required by some time to boost his confidence.

Other Indians in the competition, Shiv Kapur, SSP Chawrasia, Gaganjeet Bhullar, and Ajeetesh Sandhu, made an early exit from the event after all four failed to make the cut.
